Monday 16th November 2009
9am to 7pm
Canary Wharf, London
Hosted in Canary Wharf, London, Preview is a new event specially designed to introduce final-year female students to the wide variety of challenging and rewarding opportunities available in banking. Combining activities like panel discussions, informal networking and expert presentations, the day will give you the chance to meet and learn from women who have already built successful careers with some of the UK’s leading banks.
It’s a great opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation of the sector and ask any questions you might have. You’ll be able to find out which key skills are needed to succeed in different areas of banking; you’ll also get the inside view on what the recent turmoil in the financial markets is likely to mean for the industry.
Use the menu bars for more information on the banks participating in the event – and to apply for one of the limited places.
There is no single career path within banking. In fact, the sector can offer opportunities across an amazingly broad range of disciplines – from finance and retail operations, through to technology, HR and marketing. So you don’t need to be studying any particular degree subject to attend.
You will, however, need to demonstrate the intellectual ability and personal drive to thrive in this fast-paced environment. For that reason, you will ideally be a female finalist with a predicted 2:1 and at least 300 UCAS points.
This full-day event will take place on Monday 16th November in Canary Wharf, London. To apply for a place, please email your CV to richard.williams@staffordlong.co.uk with a paragraph explaining why you would like to come along.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Claims can only be made for UK economy travel from outside the M25 and expenses for taxis will not be covered.
If you have special requirements or questions regarding travel expenses, please contact Richard Williams on 020 7911 3014 or email richard.williams@staffordlong.co.uk
